Wolvercote Community Choir was started in around 2014 by the Parents and Teachers Association of Wolvercote Primary School. The choir has evolved over time and is now also open to the local Wolvercote Community. Members of the choir consist of approximately a 50/50 mix of Wolvercote Primary School parents and members of the local Wolvercote community (and further afield), both men and women, and also some ex Wolvercote Primary School pupils.

Choir practice is usually on the 2nd Tuesday of each month but this can change occasionally when the school requires use of the Wolvercote Primary School hall where the choir practises. The dates are always listed on this website and on the Wolvercote Community Choir Facebook group. There are no sessions during school holidays.

The choir is led by Jenni, who graduated from Cambridge University with a double first class honours degree in music. Jenni works with various schools and organisations around Oxford but her connection with Wolvercote is through Wolvercote Primary School where she is a part time music teacher.  Jenni selects repertoire for the Wolvercote Community Choir in a range of styles, and the choir rehearses these songs to perform at various community events.

You do not have to have had any previous singing experience to join the choir and and we are a very friendly welcoming group. Why not come along and join us for a practice one Tuesday evening? Just bring along £5 and a water bottle and be ready to have some fun.
